Sometimes you have to coax your song to come to you. You have to sing to it, listen to it, and flatter it (in my case it's a her), and then beg her to "come closer darling prayer" in a soft sweet voice until she answers you. It's a respect thing. You give her respect, she'll give you lyrics and melodies.
I got Aaron Sterling to play drums on this tune. Pretty cool! Adam Armijo and I recorded a guitar and vocal scratch track and Sterling put drums over it from the comfort of his CA home.

Thank you to EVERYONE who worked on this! I hope you like it as much as I do and most importantly I hope my song angel approves. It's my ode to her. C'mon girl ... give me a million more! LOL
(VERSES) She runs deeper than a well that's dry. Been here longer and I don't know why. She's hard to see and hard to touch. She's a whisper in my ear. She's a whisper, in my ear. She's a whisper, in my ear. She makes reasons out of fickle hearts, been the lyrics for a million starts. She's here to make a cold day warm, she's a whisper in my ear. She's a whisper in my ear. She's a whisper in my ear. (CHORUS) Come closer, Darling Prayer. And if you stay a while, I stay here ... too. I need you. I need you. (OUTRO) Oh, better half of me. Come out so I can see. Shade my glasses rose. Sing a song so I know.
